Welcome!

I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the staff and Council, to welcome you to the Township of the North Shore. Nestled between the town of Spanish to the east and the town of Blind River to the west, our municipality is composed of Serpent River, Spragge and Algoma Mills.

To residents and visitors alike, the Township offers recreational opportunities, particularly fishing, hunting, cross country skiing, hiking trails, snowmobile and atv trails. The North Channel provides some of the best sailing opportunities in North America.

We strive to make the municipality a safe and welcoming place for all ages. A place which supports our local businesses, a place where fresh air, gorgeous lakes and forests exist and a place where visitors and residents are able to work, play and relax.
