Located along Hwy. 17 in the village of Serpent River, this parkette is maintained by the Ministry of Transportation (MTO).  The park gives visitors a chance to stop and rest on their journey and to enjoy the naturally beautiful area.  Plenty of parking is available as well as restrooms and picnic tables.  Adjacent to the park is the ever-flowing Serpent River that can be seen rushing over the Kennebec Falls.  Follow the trails to explore this fascinating site.  Sitting and listening to the rushing waters and peaceful sounds of nature are sure to delight everyone and offers a terrific spot to rest along the way.

Located on the north bank of the Serpent River, the Kennebec Hiking Trail is a great place for hiking, snow shoeing, bird watching, and picnicking.  Access the east end of this trail from the MTO park at Kennebec Falls in the summer or the west end via Riverview Road in Serpent River, year-round.  The trail is well marked and provides visitors with the chance to view many species of wildlife along the way.  It is clearly a wonderful way to experience the beauty of nature.
